H E L L O my name is...

H E L L O my name is… Michelle [from Mushaboom YYC]. I’m a Traditional Midwife, Lactation Consultant, birth photographer + mother to this Rad kiddo (aka “Conrad”).

I believe that God is in control + my work is greatly influenced by that philosophy. I offer biblical and sovereign support to my clients; I am passionate about empowering families to birth and parent autonomously.

I’m often asked what “Mushaboom” means… the short story is that it is a colloquial word used to describe an optimistic outcome despite the circumstances, THAT aaaaannd it’s also one of my favourite @feistmusic songs 🎶. The longer answer, is that the word ‘Mushaboom’ is particularly significant to me; it was the subject-line from a heavy email at a ‘fork-in-the-road’ point in my life… that ‘fork’ led me to answer the call to birth work – work that I am deeply passionate about.

It is my intention to utilize this forum to share more with my clients + I’m looking forward to getting to know you all in this community more as well. Thank you for following!
